NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH
ALERT* [ARCHIVES] Suspicious Blue Van
May 19, 2005
(original alert May 10, 2005)
UPDATE: Light blue
van sighted on Palace Court.
-
Wednesday night, 05/18/2005 at 11:45PM, a Regal Way neighbor walking his
dog in the Palace Court cul-de-sac spotted a van, fitting the description
provided by neighbors.
Read 05/16/2005 alert.
- Chevy,
light blue, ladder on back, series of windows on both sides.
-
Temporary tag read L&G Auto, and tag expiration date was not detectable.
- The
neighbor confronted the van from a safe distance. The white male driver
(short hair, beard) appeared to be the only occupant in the van. In
dialogue, the van driver called himself a “trasher”, driving around
looking for things of value in people’s trash.

Dorcon -
DeKalb County Police Bureau
Services, Crime Prevention Specialist has been notified (5/19/05 AM).
- Spoke with Ms. Dorcon
(5/19/05 AM). In summary: Ms.
Dorcon had asked for the
“Extra patrol request”, and
this is still in effect. The 5/18/05 incident has been brought to her
attention. Just a note that once you place garbage on the curb for
pick up, you relinquish ownership. Please always shred any paperwork
that you
don't want someone seeing or using. Continue to be vigilant and if
suspect suspicious activity, dial 911. We have a good start for
pursuing an active Neighborhood Watch Program.

information, as received, will be available at
